Livelihood at MCHI: Empowering Communities for Economic Resilience

At Marcom Care for Humanity Initiative (MCHI), we believe that economic empowerment is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and building resilient communities. Without stable income opportunities, individuals and families remain trapped in financial insecurity, unable to meet basic needs or plan for the future

Our livelihood interventions focus on equipping individuals—especially women, youth, and marginalized groups—with the skills, resources, and financial opportunities needed to achieve self-sufficiency, build sustainable businesses, and contribute to local economies.

MCHI provides practical skills training, business development support, financial literacy education, and access to funding opportunities, ensuring that individuals can start, grow, and sustain their economic ventures. By fostering entrepreneurship, employment readiness, and financial inclusion, we create pathways for long-term stability and community-driven economic growth.

Supporting New and Existing Entrepreneurs

Starting and running a business in underserved communities is often challenging due to limited access to capital, skills training, and market opportunities. MCHI helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs develop, refine, and scale their businesses so they can better serve their niche markets. Through business incubation, mentorship, and hands-on coaching, we guide entrepreneurs through business planning, marketing, product development, and customer engagement.

Connecting Entrepreneurs to Training and Funding Opportunities

Many small businesses fail due to a lack of financial literacy and access to funding. MCHI bridges this gap by providing business training programs that cover financial management, investment strategies, and sustainability planning. Additionally, we connect entrepreneurs to microfinance institutions, grant opportunities, and seed funding programs that enable them to access the capital needed to launch or expand their ventures.

Building a Community Funding Ecosystem

Long-term economic sustainability requires a supportive financial ecosystem. MCHI integrates entrepreneurs into community savings and funding networks, fostering collective investment and financial inclusion. Through group lending models, savings cooperatives, and local investment platforms, we ensure that entrepreneurs have continuous access to funding, peer support, and collaborative growth opportunities. This approach not only strengthens individual businesses but also promotes community-driven economic development.

Financial Literacy, Vocational Skilling, and Employment Readiness

Beyond entrepreneurship, MCHI provides financial literacy programs that help individuals understand budgeting, saving, debt management, and investment. We also offer vocational skilling programs tailored to clients’ interests, equipping them with marketable skills that enhance their employability. By aligning training with industry demands, we ensure that participants gain practical expertise that prepares them for stable jobs or self-employment. Additionally, we provide job-readiness training, career mentorship, and networking opportunities, ensuring that participants gain the confidence and skills needed to secure stable employment or transition into self-employment.

Why Livelihood Matters

Economic instability fuels poverty, social inequality, and community disempowerment. By investing in skills, business development, and financial inclusion, MCHI is empowering individuals to take control of their economic futures. Whether through entrepreneurship, employment readiness, or financial education, we equip people with the tools they need to build a thriving and self-sustaining future.

Through a holistic, community-centered approach, MCHI is transforming lives, boosting local economies, and creating a future where economic empowerment is accessible to all
