FROM MOUNT ELGON TO THE WORLD
Friends of Mothers Initiative is a women-led specialty coffee producer, honey supplier, and exporter based in eastern Uganda.
Founded in 2015, we work with women farmers on the slopes of Mount Elgon to produce exceptional Arabica coffee and organic wildflower honey while creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods and community development.
Our work connects the care of women farmers, the richness of Uganda’s land, and the demand for responsibly produced products around the world.

DISCOVER WHAT WE DO
Grown at high altitudes in rich volcanic soils, our coffee delivers exceptional quality, distinctive flavour, and a long, sweet finish.
Our organic wildflower honey is collected from the diverse natural flora of Mount Elgon and carefully processed to preserve its natural character.

THE ORIGIN OF EXCEPTIONAL FLAVOUR
At elevations between 1,400 and 2,500 metres above sea level, our coffee grows in the rich volcanic soils of Mount Elgon.
The high altitude, fertile land, and unique climate create ideal conditions for producing specialty Arabica coffee with vibrant acidity, a creamy body, fruity fragrance, and a long, sweet finish.
Every bean and every hive represents an opportunity to empower women, protect the environment, and build thriving communities.
